Tip
While
anxiously awaiting the 9500 series subwoofers, many have decided
to build custom enclosures for them. Building a custom box
for the Thunder9500 is a more advanced process than building
your average sub box because, among other things, it incorporates
a complex bent slot port. And the Thunder9500 certainly isn’t
an average subwoofer either.

What
the people are saying: (edited
for length and grammar)
"Just wanted
to say wow! This Thunder9500 is all that and a bag of chips-
the best ever! Thanks for being the best!" Brad H
"WOW,,,
(Thunder 342 amp) the rated RMS was not that much higher then
the RT202 but the sound and level is in a different ball park.
We are very happy with our last choice. I can hear him several
blocks away. That may sound strange for a father to say but
I would rather him get in trouble for noise that allot of
other things he could be into and this amp with a pair of
MTX 10's will turn a few heads..." as posted on sounddomain.com
by mffd64
"The sound quality is dead on with much more solid mid-bass
reproduction as well as a high end that is crystal clear without
making your ears bleed. Once again, this MTX amp (Thunder
404) is underrated by a good 10w per channel." as
posted on sounddomain.com by mr.zero
"I
have two of these (RT12-04)
in my 1992 dodge caravan in a sealed box. They really sound
great and they take a good beating the say 200 watt rms i
think they are underrated... I really like them and everyone
says they sound great..." as posted on sounddomain
by mario3
"I
have 3 8000's in my Jeep each getting about 400 watts. Its
not only loud, its extremely clean, I never want to get out
of the car. I am putting quite a few watts to them and there
is no distortion even in low bass rap songs. I have them sealed
in 1.32 cubic ft. I would recommend these subs to anybody
that wants it loud and clean!" as posted on sounddomain.com
by mtxbassfanatic
"I
just got this amp (Thunder1501D) in and hooked it up ...in
a custom sealed box behind the rear seats in my 2001 Jeep
Wrangler Sahara. Wow, this amp pounds the two subs with ease.
I am using both 4 gauge power and ground, I plan to up to
1/0 gauge in a couple of months. The amp provides plenty of
power to make any subs wail. If you are looking for perhaps
one of the best amps on the market, then this is the route
you should go. It provides flawless power, with a massive
sub-level punch. It does take a lot of juice, so my advice
is that you get a stiffening capacitor so that your battery
does not die during those listening periods at the beach with
your car off, or the late night cruising to avoid a dead battery
or dimming lights. I highly recommend this amp for anyone
looking for a power driving mono-block for a pair of subwoofers."
