MTX THUNDER AMPLIFIER SURVIVES CAR-TOTALING ACCIDENT

MTX recently received an email from Aaron Mesna, of St Cloud Minnesota. Aaron details the story of his recent car accident, in which his car was totaled, his Thunder801D amplifier was ripped out of his trunk, cartwheeled 400 yards away, yet still worked perfectly. Thankfully, Aaron and his passenger were not injured, and we thank them for sharing their story with us. MTX is proud to build such bullet-proof products!

SLIPKNOT DRUMMER USES MTX AND XTANT TO BRING THE STAGE INSIDE HIS CARS

MTX TIBURON DEMO VEHICLE SHOWCASED IN PERFORMANCE AUTO AND SOUND MAGAZINE

The June issue of Performance Auto & Sound magazine was packed full of MTX products and show cars including the 2003 MTX Hyundai Tiburon. The magazine gave the vehicle a three-page feature where it detailed the quality and performance of the installation and gear used. The vehicle is installed with four MTX MXS1204 12-inch subwoofers, MTX MXA8001 amplifiers to provide "ground-shaking power" and also features MTX T6.6 6 ½ " component speakers to produce the mid-range. After the interior and exterior of the vehicle were detailed in the article, the magazine comments that "this Tiburon is evidence that there's no limit to what the talented crew at Mitek can accomplish."

I have one 12" Thunder9500 sub in a SledgeHammer box getting power from a Thunder801D amp. This setup is insane! After a little tuning to get nice, clear, crisp SQ sound, I decided to test the SPL thinking I'd get mid to high 130s dB. On the first try, I hit 148 dB and I wasn't even using half the gain! Like I said, this combination is insane!
